Fallen Heroes Remembrance Wall
Early this year, I was asked to memorialize the Illinois National Guard's 34 Fallen Heroes on a travelling truss-wall to be commissioned by Ace Sign Company. I created 3 panels using provided templates as well as side retract designs and banner designs. To give leadership an idea of what the final product might look like, I created a mockup in Photoshop.
Illinois Department of Military Affairs Annual Report Redesign
Late in 2023, I was asked to rebrand and update the design and layout for the Illinois Department of Military Affairs' Annual Report to the Governor. The original document was a black-and-white, 7 page document. Leadership wanted a more colorful, up-to-date product with graphics and yearly accomplishments. The end result was a 28-page, full-color report that elevated the department's professional reputation.
Armory Key Shadowboxes
In 2023, I was asked to create two shadow boxes for key ceremonies as we transferred two of our armories (Beardstown and Lawrenceville) to their respective communities. I was responsible for researching armory histories to determine what units were stationed there and creating architectural elevation drawings to be engraved on metal plaques in each shadow box. I created the drawings by using Google Street View Images and recreating them by hand in Adobe Illustrator. I was also responsible for working with the award company to get the plates engraved and working with the Department of Military Affairs to secure payment.
