Chief Public Affairs NCO

  • Serves as NCO in charge for public affairs, managing daily activities of 5 employees, both civilian and military.

  • Worked with National Guard Bureau to ensure more than 30 enlisted soldiers met qualifications for training, including the certification of more than 20 applications to recertify as public affairs professionals.

  • Maintained and administered the Illinois National Guard’s social media presence across more than 20 unique pages.

  • Collaborated with senior leaders, directors, and stakeholders to redesign, implement, and administer the ILNG public website.

  • Lead graphic designer and layout designer for coins, presentations, graphics, logos, certificates, annual reports, catalogues, and social media content.

  • Worked with Straxis to build and implement the ILNG mobile application.

  • Manages more than $100k worth of photographic and computer equipment and procured more than $30k in new equipment.

  • Designed products for use at the national and international level, including the State Partnership Program’s 30-year Anniversary Coin and Banner, the Illinois National Guard Force Package Catalog, and the Illinois National Guard Civic Guide.

  • Served as the G1 Operations NCO, maintaining and coordinating operational guidance for a directorate of more than 60 personnel and seven offices.

  • Managed and maintained more than $200k worth of equipment and organized and oversaw the life cycle of more than 200 laptops and 80 monitors.

  • Produced and organized training for the directorate, including the creation and maintenance of the G1 Training Binder and Yearly Training Guidance.

  

Information Operations Officer/Public Affairs NCO

  • Assigned as Information Operations Officer for a brigade-level (more than 1200 Soldiers) U.S. and Polish task force responsible for developing IO campaign plans and training for task force and coalition forces nested with regional command.

  • Served as brigade public affairs NCO, advising the commanding general and the U.S. deputy commander on all public affairs matters including command and public information.

  • Coordinated with regional command to ensure the proper release multiple photos and news releases from both U.S. and Polish forces.

  • Served as lead graphic designer, producing five coins, more than five separate certificates of appreciation, four posters, and a photo gift given to Tomasz Siemoniak, the former Polish Minister of National Defense

  • Established and managed the schedules, duties, and training for nine full-time employees during steady-state and emergency operations.  

  • Created and maintained the ILNG’s common operating picture that was recognized by United States Northern Command as a top-ten national-level product.

  • Maintained and accounted for more than $500k worth of equipment.

  • Assigned as the contracting officer representative for the buildout of a $250k future operations cell and JOC equipment upgrade.

  • Served as go-to presentation and graphics designer for the ILARNG Plans, Operations, and Training Directorate and Joint Staff, responsible for the design of more than 20 products presented at the national level and designs that see use in presentations and products to this day.
